I had the great pleasure of being a part of Opera North’s

“Resonance: Lockdown edition”

in 2020 where I collaborated with the multidisciplinary artist Khadijah Ibrahim.

Together we created Dead ‘n’ Wake, a combination of interviews, conversations and recorded sounds in Jamaica with Turntablism techniques, dub delays and reverbs to create immersive and educational pieces that explore Afro-Caribbean rituals around death.

This project led to performances at Leeds Playhouse during the Connected Voices series, and a podcast being created where Khadijah and I talk more in depth about our journey during its creation.
